Condo living

9 a.m. The doorbell rings. It is the garbage man come to collect the trash. I open the door, resplendent in my face mask of besan-haldi-dahi. Which means my face is a gooey yellow mess. The door of the opposite flat opens. There stands a gentleman of indeterminate age, clad in red boxer shorts and red singlet, long hair flowing loose, beard flowing likewise. After one horrified start each, we politely ignore each other’s presence. If we encounter each other in the lift later on, we will nod a greeting politely and leave it at that.
The garbage man is either used to such sights or is going to have a good guffaw later---because he keeps a straight face too!

Nice ramble :) I can relate with this one :P Before putting on any face pack I need to instruct my family about opening the door, answering the phone, let me lie down in peace, not making me laugh etc etc.

Lol... my maid is used to seeing me looking like nothing on earth when I open the door to her every morning. The way I see it, she's lucky I wear anything at all :-)

Hey Lak, I guess if you've been used to living in an independent house right since childhood and then had to move into a condo / apartment kind of home, it does take some getting used. Especially the shared privacy!!!

Never lived in an independent house myself so thats not so much of a problem to me. Visit my blog for my latest post. Cheers!

That was funny! You have a few nice posts here. Liked your previous one very much. You really understand your mom, specially her anxieties and concerns only when you are a mom/dad yourself! But I was lucky, I got my first, much loved niece when I was very young and I feel that enabled me to understand those feelings really early!
